 This closing workshop synthesizes the learning from the previous workshops and provides a practical process to ensure that the newly invigorated board and staff team can establish a high performance work culture that consistently transforms new ideas into action, producing extraordinary results.  Board/staff teams will learn to:  manage the difference between “what should be” and “what will be;” discuss and apply the cycle of change; differentiate between incremental and discontinuous change; learn the complementary roles of leadership and management in driving organizational change; discover how to improve the performance of the whole organization by changing a part of the organization; develop skill in the use of conflict as a source of progress; and transform resistance to change into unbending commitment to change.
Each participating nonprofit organization should bring a team of up to 5 people and a minimum of two which includes the Executive Director (or comparable staff) and Board Chair. Other attendees should include the executive committee members.
